Frequently Asked Questions

What is SPConnector?

SPConnector is a packing slip automation service that connects Shippo's shipping API to PrintNode's printing infrastructure. It automatically prints packing slips the moment orders are ready in Shippo, with no manual downloading or clicking. It works with any platform connected to Shippo, including Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, WooCommerce, Wix, and Walmart. Business and Enterprise plans include multi-printer routing, which lets you split orders across multiple printers using rules based on order value, marketplace, shipping speed, or destination.

Do I need multi-printer routing?

Probably not. Most sellers use one printer and the Starter or Growth plan covers that. Multi-printer routing is there if you grow into multiple packing stations, but you can ignore it until then.

Will this work with my Etsy shop?

Yes. If your Etsy shop is connected to Shippo (which Etsy now requires for many sellers), SPConnector prints packing slips for every order automatically. Same goes for Shopify, Amazon, eBay, or anything else connected to Shippo.

Does this work with my existing Shippo setup?

Yes. You connect your Shippo production API key and that's it. Nothing changes about how you use Shippo today.

What printers are supported?

Anything PrintNode supports, which is most network printers, laser printers, label printers, and standard office printers. SPConnector detects printer capabilities automatically.

Can I test before committing to a paid plan?

Yes. The Starter plan is free and doesn't require a credit card.

How secure is my data?

All customer data is encrypted with AES-256 and stored separately per tenant. We don't access or share your data.

What happens if I exceed my plan's order limit?

We'll let you know when you're getting close and give you the option to upgrade. We won't stop printing your slips mid-month.

Do you offer custom enterprise solutions?

Not at the moment. The Enterprise plan at $79/month covers unlimited printers and 2,000 orders, which handles most high-volume operations.

How does Multi-Printer Routing save me time?

Instead of manually picking which printer gets each order, you set rules once and SPConnector handles the rest. Orders go to the right printer based on value, marketplace, or location. If a printer goes down, orders automatically reroute. Customers with two or more printers report saving around 5 hours a week on average.

What's the difference between Business and Enterprise multi-printer plans?

Business gives you 2 printers, which works well for a second packing station or a backup. Enterprise removes the printer limit, so you can run a full warehouse setup with geographic and marketplace-based routing across as many printers as you need.

Can I route orders based on specific criteria?

Yes. You can set rules based on order value ($500+ goes to a specific printer), shipping method (express to your fastest printer), marketplace (Amazon orders to one printer, Shopify to another), or destination state (East Coast vs. West Coast).
